The height of summer, the late nights and warm air. Bonfires and fresh grass. Fresh fruit and enjoying the beautiful physical realm. Midsummer is a time of celebration as the sun reaches its peak.
The element of fire is an important component of Midsummer due to the sun blazing in the sky and the heat generated by thunder and lightning. It only makes sense that we should honor such a time with a beautifully burning blaze of our own.
Midsummer is a good time to seek protection and to purify space against negative or harmful energy. It's also a good time to create ritual around matters of fertility and love. With these ideas in mind, each Midsummer cauldron candle is specially poured by hand. Designed a beautiful white base to represent the purity of light, and contrasting color drips to honor the element of fire, each cauldron is unique and magickal.
A specific herb blend is made to decorate the candle as well as imbue it with specific intentions in alignment with this sabbat as they are added. In this case the herb blend consists of a mix of mistletoe, sage leaves, and dandelion. A trifecta added in three scoops to each candle, as it is tradition for nine different herbs to thrown into the fire at Midsummer. This could produce a possible fire hazard, so this blend is done in threes to encourage the same energy and intent without creating an unsafe situation.
You have the option of the candle being scented with oils to accentuate the herbs, as well. Should you choose it, the Midsummer cauldron will be scented with rose, blood orange, cedarwood, grapefruit, and cloves to represent the height of summer, where spice meets sweet.
Each candle is made to order to ensure freshness and quality. These candles can be made and shipped out in 3-5 business days as each is made with special care for the corresponding holiday.

FAQ: I have received questions about the approximate size of this candle. Once made, it is roughly 3.5 x 3.25 x 3.5 inches (with slight variance due to the contrasting drips). I will be posting a size comparison photo to all cauldrons very soon to give a better visual of this.
If you love the concept of this candle, but don't feel that it will fit in your space at home, or if you are worried about kids or pets tampering with it, there is a jar candle version of this candle available for you as well: https://www.etsy.com/listing/520751440/midsummer-litha-candle-pagan-candle
*PLEASE NOTE: This must be burned like a pillar candle. Meaning you need a safe area and non-flammable surface to burn it on. The herbs on top can catch fire and burn. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and make sure to keep an eye on this candle in much the same way. We don't need anyone's Midsummer to be disturbed by a house fire! Now be safe, and enjoy!*
